Asics Arena, formerly Festivalna Hall, is a multi purpose indoor sports and events hall in the Geo Milev neighbourhood of Sofia, operated by Academica 2011. It was originally built in 1968 for the World Festival of Youth and Students and later hosted the Summer Universiade, then underwent a major renovation costing around 7 million leva and reopened under its current name as a modern athletics and multi sport arena.
The monolithic building offers about 26 500 square metres of total area, including roughly 9 000 square metres of covered space and 17 500 square metres of adjoining outdoor area that can host fairs, shows and demonstration events. At its heart is a 2000 square metre main hall surrounded by a 200 metre indoor oval track with four lanes and a 60 metre straight, with areas for jumps and throws, making it the only functioning indoor athletics venue of this kind in Sofia. The permanent stands provide around 2200 seats for sports events and the layout can be expanded to around 6000 spectators for concerts and large shows.
Beyond athletics the arena is set up for a wide range of indoor sports and training uses. Additional rooms inside the complex host boxing, gymnastics, dance and fitness sessions, and there are recovery and treatment cabinets that support training camps and tournaments in combat sports and team games. At the same time Asics Arena functions as a cultural and exhibition centre, offering rentable exhibition and congress space, trade fair layouts, a large foyer, on site restaurant and cafe, and advertising surfaces for organisers. The venue is accessible for people with reduced mobility and is located in an urban residential district with city bus line 72 stopping nearby, while Sofia Airport lies only a few kilometres to the east, reachable quickly by car or taxi.
